I adored Martha and Keegan from the moment I met them – and once I heard their amazing love story, I couldn’t wait to shoot their Union Club Tacoma wedding.
Martha is a civil engineer and project manager. Keegan is a journeyman wiremen in the construction industry. They met on a bridge over I-5 (which they happened to be building at the time) and fell in love.
They married in late fall in Tacoma, using some of the city’s most beautiful locations as backdrops for their photos. Simple, beautiful details highlighted their decor, with the couple’s work boots and hard hats in a place of honor.
After getting ready at McMenamins Elks Temple Hotel, we used the gorgeous Spanish Steps next door for a first look and nearby Wright Park for couples’ portraits and family photos. Wright Park was blanketed in gorgeous fall color. I posed Martha and Keegan carefully to surround them with the beautiful gold and orange leaves.
The venue was decorated with simple greenery and candles. A small group of family and friends looked on as Martha and Keegan shared laughter and sweet moments during the brief ceremony. Toasts, a cake cutting, dancing and a sidewalk sparkler exit rounded out the night.
