Is it STILL 2020?
It’s been a long year, hasn’t it? I’ve had a lot of time to reflect on my business plans in the past year, and I’ve been mulling over where I want to be in the future. While I absolutely love weddings and don’t see myself giving them up any time soon, after a lot of thought I’ve decided that I want to shoot more family, baby and portrait sessions in 2020 and 2021.
I love family sessions. When there are little kids involved, they can be chaos – but it’s fun chaos. I love finding new ways to capture every family’s unique dynamic. I REALLY love hanging out with awesome kids and adorable babies and fantastic parents.
Wedding clients, don’t freak out – if you’ve booked a wedding with me, I’ll still be shooting it! And I’m still accepting new wedding bookings for 2021 and 2022. This just means that when I’m NOT shooting a wedding, I’d love to have more family and portrait clients to fill my time.
So to kick off my new let’s-get-excited-about-family-portraits focus, I’ll be rolling out a NEW family portrait pricing structure starting on Sept. 1, 2020. How’s it going to work? It’s a simple package system, but there are a few big changes for folks who’ve been my clients for a while.
New package basics
Three packages: There will be 3 package options for portrait clients. The $199 Petite Session is 30 minutes, perfect for solo portraits, a quick couples’ session or families with young kids who may not last a full hour. The $299 Full Session is an hour, great for larger family groups, older kids or a full engagement session. And the $399 Extended Session is a 2-hour session, great for in-home baby photos or a longer outdoor session with a large group, in multiple locations or multiple outfits.
Choose your photos: You’ll receive 5 free full-size, edited digital images with the Petite Session, 10 with the Full Session and 15 with the Baby Session. Clients can choose their free images from a gallery of about 30-40 edited photos. Fall in love with more than the 5, 10 or 15 included images? You can purchase additional digital images directly from your gallery for $20 per image, or 5 for $90, 10 for $170, 20 for $300 or the full gallery for $450. Downloads are instantly available from the online gallery.
Print options: Want to hang your kids’ portraits on the wall? Now you can purchase high-quality prints, canvases and metal wall art directly from your gallery as well. As always, you are free to have your digitals printed wherever you want – but by purchasing through Lemonade Photography, you’ll receive the highest quality of prints from a professional photo lab that guarantees true colors and archival-quality prints that won’t fade.
When can I book the new family sessions?
I’ll start taking bookings for the new family session packages on Sept. 1, just in time for fall family photos. Any bookings started before Sept. 1 will be for the old family packages. As always, I will require a 50% non-refundable retainer to hold your date, with the balance due at least 24 hours before your session.
