There’s a new way to buy a family portrait collection from Lemonade Photography! Starting today, instead of choosing a full package up front, clients will book their portrait session with a $200 session fee and purchase their Digital Image Collection later, after viewing a proofing gallery. 

This means you won’t have to decide how many digital images you want to purchase until you’ve seen your gallery.

Here’s how it will work: 

1. Pay your $200 session fee to book your session (this is also your non-refundable retainer).
2. Have your photo session.
3. Within 10 days of the session, you’ll receive a proofing gallery of lightly edited images. 
4. You’ll have 30 days to view the gallery and select your images. 
5. I’ll send you a link to choose your Digital Image Collection and pay the package fee. 
6. Within two weeks of receiving your payment, I’ll carefully edit your selected images and deliver them in your final gallery.

Answers to frequently asked questions about the new structure:

Is it more expensive this way? Portrait prices haven’t changed, I’ve just separated the $200 session fee from the Digital Image Collection fee. 

Why did you make this change? I’ve heard from some clients that it’s hard to know which package to purchase before they see their gallery. This way, you don’t have to make that decision until after you see your photos. 

What is a proofing gallery? I’ll select the best photos from your session (usually 40-50 images) and give them a quick editing once-over, creating a proofing gallery with consistent exposure and colors. They’ll give you a good idea of what your final gallery will look like but won’t be as polished as the finished images. 

How will the final images be different? Once you’ve selected the ones you want to keep, I’ll go over them more carefully to ensure vibrant colors and lush, natural skin tones. As always, I won’t change your bodies – but I’ll make sure any temporary blemishes (pimples, dirt smudges, grass stains, etc) are minimized or removed and distracting background elements are taken out.  

Do you take special requests for editing? You’re welcome to ask, but it depends on the request. Any requests that are outside of what I would normally provide will incur an additional editing fee. 

Can I screenshot and share the proofing gallery photos? It’s a violation of federal copyright law to screenshot and share professional photos you have not purchased. Your proofing gallery will be heavily watermarked and is not meant to be shared. Please wait for your final gallery – these photos will be downloadable at full size and will look much better on social media and on your walls at home. 

Can I still purchase my Digital Image Collection up front if I want? Sure! Just reach out to me. 

I need these photos right away! Can I get them sooner? Yes! Rush processing is $75 – you’ll get your proofing gallery within 48 hours of the session and your final gallery within 3 days of paying your Digital Image Collection fee.

What happens if I don’t select my final images and pay within 30 days? Your gallery will be archived and no longer available to view online. Requests to reopen your gallery may be subject to a retrieval fee.
